Bambu PLA Aero achieves low density and light weight by foaming at high temperatures during printing, creating small holes in the print, making it ideal for lightweight, energy-efficient prints such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aerodynamic models, and gliders.
Foamed PLA material (PLA Aero) has high requirements for material drying and parameter settings. Please read the instructions for printing aircraft models with foamed PLA (PLA Aero) carefully before starting the printing process .
Bambu PLA Aero has a similar filament density to regular PLA, but the build density is only 50%-80%.
*When printing a model of the same volume, PLA Aero is approximately half the weight of PLA Basic.
By increasing the print temperature and decreasing the flow rate, the weight of the print is further reduced.
*The average print density will vary with changes in actual print temperature, flow ratio, print speed, model size, wall thickness, fill density and other parameters.

Compared to pre-foamed wood PLA, Bambu PLA Aero and its prints are tougher and more resistant to impacts, bumps and drops.
Bambu PLA Aero offers better dyeing results compared to PLA Basic and a matte surface texture that is easier to color.
